First 10 years of Maryland Supreme.
Over the last 10 years (2013 - 2023) Maryland Supreme has been creating and exploring the interconnections between the real world and the unknown. This exploration translated into visual work connecting objects and entities that look familiar and framed into abstract concepts and contradicting messages to promote wider interpretations.
His solo visual work is complemented by abstract sound landscapes and experiments that aim to expand how the static worlds created in his drawings are perceived. References to electronic music, noise, and some Latin background help to add new layers to his work.
Lately, his work has shifted to collaborations, where the exploration is shared with other artists. “Connection #0, #1 and #2”, his latest collections, maintains a focus on exploring topics such as existentialism, parallel worlds, and entities that want to interact with our universe. Instead of exploring these topics on his own, this collection introduced other artists and their topics of interest.
